Description
A budget-friendly, 3-ingredient iced coffee drink made by shaking cold brew, brown sugar, and oat milk. It takes less than 5 minutes to prepare and offers a creamy, latte-like experience without the coffee shop price tag.
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups cold brew coffee concentrate (or strong brewed coffee cooled completely)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup oat milk
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Optional: ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: Pinch of cinnamon
Instructions
- Fill a tall glass to the top with ice cubes.
- In a shaker bottle or mason jar with a tight lid, add the brown sugar and a splash of cold coffee (about 2 tablespoons). Stir vigorously until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add the remaining cold coffee and oat milk to the shaker. Add vanilla extract if using.
- Seal the lid tightly and shake the mixture hard for about 30 seconds until it is frothy and cold.
- Pour the shaken mixture over the ice in the prepared glass.
- Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dash of vanilla if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure the coffee is completely cold to prevent the ice from melting too quickly. Dissolving the brown sugar in a small amount of liquid first is crucial to avoid grittiness. For a batch version, mix the brown sugar and coffee concentrate ahead of time and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
